So you've made the decision to consider LegalEdge as your Practice Management Suite. GREAT! We look forward to welcoming you to the LegalEdge family. However, before you commit, you need to do a quick analysis on your current systems and compare them to what LegalEdge can provide. A good starting point would be the following:

Accounts

What kind of accounting does your current system offer? LegalEdge has a built in double entry accounting structure with an unlimited number of entities in a single data file. Need to run four different companies with completely different chart of accounts from a single LegalEdge package? No problem. Need to run reports across different entities? Again, no problem.

Trust Accounting

Does your current system offer compliant Trust Accounting? LegalEdge has built a Trust Accounting package into the core system.

Time Billing and Disbursements

We offer Time Billing and Disbursements based around a matter, client, supplier or staff member.

Reporting

What reporting do you actually use on a regular basis? Many packages offer hundreds of reports, but if you don't actually require them, it's just dead weight. LegalEdge offers a standard set of reports and will add reports based on your suggestions or requirements. And all of our reports generate to screen or export to most popular spreadsheet programs for further analysis.

Payroll

Does your existing system handle your payroll requirements? LegalEdge provides built in payroll with entitlements tracking and direct bank deposits. We also provide updated PAYG tax tables every year at no cost. And all of our payroll functions are self serviced by your staff - they control which accounts their pay is deposited to.

Document Generation and Storage

LegalEdge has a built in document generation engine with a standard set of templates available (extra templates can be added from your firm upon request). We also have a document storage system which allows documents to be stored against a matter and accessed from anywhere in the world.
